Charred cladding is simply an architectural element created by burning wood surfaces, otherwise known as Shou Sugi Ban. The charring process further highlights the natural grain of the wood, improving it by giving resistance against fire, pests, and moisture, and the result is a beautifully textured finish with rich, deep tones ranging from almost black to weathered gray. Additionally, since no chemical treatment is involved, charred wood is considered to be eco-friendly. This product is suited for both exterior and interior applications, adding that eternal charm to whatever setting, protective to the structure, and long-lasting.
