Company registration number (CRN): A company registration number is a unique alpha numeric value that is issued to a company when it is legally registered with respective government authority. In the UK, for instance the company is given the CRN upon incorporation by the Companies House. The number is mandatory among the official records identifying the company and when filing accounts or tax returns, or doing any legal business. The CRN will be unchanged in the course of the company being developed, which may change its name or address, thus, becoming an essential tool of identification.
