Escalade brakes feeling a bit spongy after all this heat
-
I've had my Escalade for about four years now and it's been a tank, honestly. But with this summer weather we've been having, I've noticed the brakes don't feel as sharp as they used to. The pedal has this slightly soft, spongy feel when I press down, especially first thing in the morning when I'm heading from the Springs onto Hessa Street. I'm pretty sure it's just the pads wearing down from the constant stop-go in the heat, but I'm also a bit paranoid it could be the fluid or something more serious. I'd rather not take it to the main dealership because their quotes for anything are always astronomical. I'm hoping to find a reliable independent garage that specializes in American cars. A friend mentioned there's a decent Cadillac brake pad replacement in Dubai workshop that a few of his colleagues have used for their Yukons, but he couldn't remember the name. Has anyone got a solid recommendation for a place that knows their way around the big GM SUVs and won't try to upsell me on a bunch of stuff I don't need?
