I’ve been noticing a shift lately where many startups are not focusing on just food delivery anymore, but expanding into grocery and other on-demand services within the same platform.

From a business perspective, this seems efficient, but I’m curious about the operational side.

Is managing multiple services in one app actually sustainable long-term?
Does it improve customer retention or create more complexity?
How do startups handle logistics when combining food + grocery delivery?

Also, I’ve seen some businesses prefer building separate apps instead of a unified platform.

Would love to hear from anyone who has worked on or observed this space. What approach do you think works better today?
